It needs to be used gently to avoid stress for your dog. I started with his regular brush as a warm up and then switched. Light grooming and then clearing the brush gave me half a bucket of hair. He is a short-haired Border Collie who, after a bath session, is now ready for warmer weather.

It is a great tool but a bit aggressive. Need to use it with care. Easy grooming works the best. My guy is neither a shorthair or a full coat, but in between. It will still be a useful addition to my grooming kit. Other tools work less well. Recommended.

The product works wonderfully to remove the hair but I find that it 'tugs' on the longer double coat of my Cattle Dog where as I thought it would glide through a bit easier.

I'm over buying products that don't do what they say and I looked at this comb a few times before took the plunge anyway. It REALLY DOES WORK! my pup is a cavoodle with thick tight spirally curls and it's a nightmare to care for but the comb really does cut through and leaves his coat smooth and knot free. His ears and tail were the worst to deal with but they are beautiful now. You do have to be gentle though with the thicker coats or it can be a bit too much for the dog.

I find this brush to be great. I use it on both my dogs which have long hair and thick fur. One is an old english sheep dog which has hair and my other is a Newfie (Newfoundland kelpie cross) and he has very thick fur. Both tangle and knot easily and this brush is great. Pet shield are also great to deal with. Your orders are sent promptly and you have them within a few days. I would highly recommend buying from the girls at pet shield.

My 2 coombs arrived promptly but I have tried them on several pets . All they do is pull the hair/fur out , not gentle at all . Very uncomfortable for the dogs even tried it on the cat .

Product is great. I was a little confused when ordering as I had clicked on a promotional email for to buy the lead with 25% off but also wanted to add the comb to the same order. Somehow when attempting to do this it didn’t work and I ended up with 2 combs instead of one lead and one comb.
I did email to ask about returning a comb for a lead which I appreciated you letting me do this, however I decided to keep the second comb.
